This remarkable setting of Psalm 68 comes from Priuli’s Sacrorum concentuum, (Venice, 1618)
Translation (Nigel Coulton)
Save me, God, since the waters have entered my soul.
I am rooted in the slime of the deep, and there is no standing.
I have come into the depths of the sea, and the storm has sunk me.
I am suffering from crying out, my throat has become hoarse, my eyes have become dim, while I hope in my God.
