Ascanio Trombetti’s Bonum est confidere comes from his Il Primo Libro de Motetti (Venice, 1589).
Trombetti was a cornetto player in the Concerto Palatino of Bologna. His book of motets of 1585 contains pieces that work beautifully on wind instruments.
Some are labelled da concerto, meaning they are for a mixture of singers and instruments.
All of his pieces work extremely well on cornetts and sackbuts, as one might expect.

Translation by Nigel Coulton:
It is good to trust in the Lord, it is good to hope in the Lord.
All nations surrounded me; and in the name of the Lord, since I was avenged on them.
They came and surrounded me, since I was avenged on them.
They surrounded me and burned like a fire among thorns; and in the name of the Lord, since I was avenged on them.
