Giovanni Priuli is a real discovery: every one of his instrumental pieces is really strong, but the specially good news is that they are all different.
In this piece Priuli is careful to keep the four instruments in each choir clearly separate: it may well have been intended for four different instruments (cornetto, violin, trombone and dulcian)
