Description
Probably the best introduction on the market to a period of music that can be intimidating at times. In 3 parts, 2 parts and one 4 part (Alarme Alarme) mainly for altos and tenors.
This little anthology is intended to provide an easy introduction to the sometimes inscrutable world of medieval music. I have included pieces in many forms, both sacred and secular, from the early 13th century to the end of the 15th (whether Agricola really counts as a medieval composer is debatable, but you have to stop somewhere).
