Franck: Two Pavans à6 (viols)

Melchior Franck (1579-1639) was born in Zittau, not far from Dresden.
He worked in various south German cities, including Nurnberg and Coburg.
For a time he studied with Hassler, from whom he learned elements of Italian music.
Franck’s 6-part Pavans are just as good as his excellent intradas.
