Deering: Two Pavans

These Two Pavans are by Richard Deering who was one of a handful of very gifted English Catholic musicians who had to leave England at the end of the 16th century because of religious persecution.
The resultant scarcity of their music in English collections has led to a certain unjustified neglect. Certainly these pavans are very fine.
