Like most Northern European musicians, Loyset Comp\u00e8re spent some of his working life in Italy, and applied his considerable contrapuntal skills to the two popular songs Scaramella<\/em> (familiar to many from the version by Josquin des Pr\u00e9s) and Che fa la ramacina<\/em>.
