Mark teaches a range of jazz improvisation classes as well as offering one-to-one tuition.  He played in the influential 1980’s group Loose Tubes, and since then has worked in many styles, from salsa to modern jazz, as well as performing his own compositions with his own various small groups.  He teaches at the Royal Academy of Music and was a consultant for the Associated Board jazz exam syllabuses.
